Employed Day #1

Employed...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, [it was the summer of my discontent]...

Unemployed Day #80

Unemployed and spent my last day of freedom not doing much of anything.  The past 79 days have been a whirlwind of activity.  I'm grateful that I had the means to take that much time off.

Unemployed Day #78

Unemployed and coming back from the cruise...looking forward to a day without any whining, crying, and complaining, and I'm not talking about myself.

Unemployed Day #75

Unemployed and a Carolynism:

Sometimes it's better to be prudent than to be right.

Unemployed Day #71

Unemployed and got a gift card for Olive Garden because I complained that they charged me for extra cheese and THREE extra toppings of Roma tomatoes when Genie just ordered a cheese pizza.  Hoo rah!  Guess who are going back to Olive Garden for lunch???

Review of Fahrenheit 451:  only read the first 40 pages but it's slow and seems a bit contrived.  (Excited about reading a book, though.  This is my second one this year and I usually read a book a month.  I blame it in my iPhone.)

Unemployed Day #70

Unemployed and an ode to my co-owners:

An ode to my co-owners
A most litigious lot
Hurry, hurry, do it today
Hurry, hurry, or I'll make you pay

You're not parking in the lines
You're not playing nice
You have bad breath
And your dogs have lice

You changed your mind
Move your ladder in the back
Your deal fell through
And your hair looks really wack

Can't we work it out
We've been neighbors for years
Gee, I don't know, I'm not sure
Let me just ask my lawyer if he concurs

An ode to my co-owners
A most litigious lot
Hurry, hurry, I just want what I'm due
Hurry, hurry, fix it now or I will sue
